Tucked away in the picturesque hamlet of Pont de la Taule, Auberge Des Deux Rivières was a delightful surprise for me and my fellow travelers. The place seamlessly combines cozy rustic charm with the untouched beauty of the Pyrénées, just a stone's throw from the stunning Pyrenees Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the superb dinner, where we indulged in traditional, regional cuisine prepared by the welcoming owners, Robert and Philip. Each dish was a pleasing revelation, perfectly setting the tone for an enchanting evening as we dined with the backdrop of the serene mountain river just outside. Ample opportunities for adventure surrounded us; from hiking and fishing to taking refreshing dips in the natural beach formed by the crystal-clear waters-this inn is a paradise for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in nature's embrace. I can't recommend it enough-three days here felt far too short!
